A high-integrity, senior executive and well-known business leader in the information technology sector, Curt Allen has extensive experience in both the partner community and the investment community. He is strategic advisor at Bluewave Technology Group, a premier IT life cycle management advisory and founder and principal of X4 Advisors, an IT-centric advisory form servicing providers, distributors and the investment community around go-to-market strategies and revenue generation, and with large providers, building lasting relationships through agile and measurable strategic initiatives adjusted to achieve results in an ever-changing technology marketplace. Allen's expertise includes advising private equity firms on acquisitions, building and leading high-performing teams to attain targeted goals, go-to-market strategies that have delivered sustainable top line revenue growth, managing through restructures and helping companies emerge from Chapter 11.
Prior to Bluewave and X4 Advisors, Allen was global channel chief at Vonage where he led the partner channel and developed the first iterations of reseller programs across UCaaS, CCaaS and the Vonage API platforms. Before that, he was at Windstream as senior vice president, channel/channel chief and president of strategic channels.
Allen served as president and part owner of X4 solutions from 2005 to 2016. When the company was aquired by Sandler Partners in 2016, all employees were retained. Allen continued in the role of president of channel, ensuring a smooth transition for all stakeholders, and retaining 95% of legacy X4 staff and all active sales partners. All promises to sales partners are still being honored.
Allen was recognized as a Channel Partner Top Gun 51 in 2019. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts in Boston with a bachelor’s degree in science and government.
