Every leader has a unique style and the ability to motivate their team to achieve high levels of performance. But there is no doubt the underpinnings of channel leadership are far different than in other industries. Today’s channel leaders have to factor so much into their thinking and words to advance organizations with multigenerational and diverse workforces. It can often lead to paralysis by analysis. To inspire their peers and employees, leaders need to be transparent, accountable, truthful and authentic. That makes channel leadership today a challenge. In this session, leaders from different channel partner business models and functions will discuss their style of leadership — what works, what doesn’t and how to lead going forward. Attendees will hear from those in the trenches who are leading by example, learning from their mistakes and accepting the harsh criticism that comes with the job.
